You will need

  • 1 fob clasp
  • 2 4mm jump rings and 1 3mm jump ring
  • 1 reel grey Sono thread
  • Beading needle
  • 3 strands of 4 mm mint Czech glass beads
  • 1 bottle No.11 green silver lined seed beads
  • Scissors
  • Flat nose pliers

Step-by-step

Step 1: Thread approximately 1 m of Sono thread onto your beading needle and string on 4 Czech beads and tie into a circle. Pass needle through the first 3 beads.

Step 2: Pick up 3 beads and sew back through the last bead of the previous circle and the next 2 beads.

Step 3: Pick up 3 beads and sew back through the last bead of the previous circle and then sew through the first 2 new beads. Continue adding 3 beads for each stitch until your first row measures 16 cm. YOU ARE SEWING CIRCLES IN A FIGURE 8 PATTERN AND ALTERING DIRECTION WITH EACH STITCH.

Step 4: To begin row 2, sew through the last 3 beads of the last stitch on row 1 exiting the bead at the edge of one long side.

Step 5: Pick up 3 beads and sew back through the bead you exited (the first "top" bead of row 1) and the first new bead. YOU WILL BE SEWING IN A CLOCKWISE DIRECTION. DO NOT SEW STRAIGHT LINES BETWEEN STITCHES.

Step 6: Pick up 2 beads and sew through the next top bead of the row below and the last bead of the previous stitch. Continue through the 2 new beads and the next top bead of the row below, SEWING COUNTER-CLOCKWISE.

Step 7: SEWING CLOCKWISE pick up 2 beads and go through the side bead of the previous stitch, the top bead on the row below that you exited and the first new bead. Continue moving in a figure 8 and pick up 2 beads for the rest of row until it measures 16 cm. Repeat Row 2 for rows 3 and 4.

Step 8: Working in a vertical direction add 1 No.11 green seed bead in between each Czech mint bead.

Step 9: Using flat nose pliers attach fob clasp with jump ring to the centre of the cuff ends.
